Page's Resort Group
During this time, we are committed to providing our guests a safe, yet memorable experience at both our properties on Gabriola Island.
For the safety of our guests and staff, we want to assure you that we are closely adhering to the guidelines provided by our local, provincial and federal health authorities.
Our cottages all have private outside entrances and are surrounded by open, expansive grounds with nature and fresh air at the doorstep.
Our cancellation policy has been adjusted to be flexible for those guests with travel restrictions or concerns.
Our team
- Know not to come to work if have any Covid-19 like symptoms or have travelled internationally or have been in contact with anyone with Covid-19.
- Will maintain a physical distance of more than 2 meters (6 feet) from co-workers and guests whenever possible.
- Are always practicing diligent hand hygiene.
- Wear masks in office/store and public areas.
- Trained to wipe down high touch points with sanitizing wipes.
Front office and store
- Only one guest (and their family or party) is permitted inside at any time.
- Hand sanitization upon entry for guests while in the office/store.
- Mandatory masks worn in office/store and proximity to others.
- All check ins will be processed in advance with receipt and keys left in the cottage.
- Guests can proceed directly to the cottage for noncontact check in should they wish.
- On call phone numbers are posted at the office of the resort for after hours emergencies.
- High use areas of the office/store are disinfected after each guest. This includes fridges & freezer doors, front door, counters, pens, credit card readers, etc.
Cottages
In addition to our high standards of cleanliness:
- High touch surfaces including, door knobs, handles, light switches, remote controls, toilets, sinks, faucets, garbage cans, etc. are thoroughly sanitized.
- All linens, including sheets, towels, shower curtains and duvet covers are changed and laundered fresh for every guest arrival.
- The in-room amenities other than bath products and paper products, have been removed.
- Our vacuums have HEPA filters to capture microscopic particles including pollen, dust, bacteria and viruses.
- Steam cleaners are used for mattress pads, pillows, couches and other surfaces.
- Barbeques and equipment will be cleaned on a regular basis.
Campground
- Guests are advised of social distancing rules and to always watch their children.
- Guests are responsible for placing their own garbage & recyclables in the approriate containment systems.
- Washroom, showers & laundry facilities will be open to one guest or family at a time.
- Washrooms and outdoor cleaning station will be regularly cleaned and will be well stocked with liquid soap.
- No group camping over 20 people.
- All playground equipment has been removed.
- Barbeques and equipment will be cleaned on a regular basis.
- COVID-19 contract tracing forms mandated by order of the Medical Health Officer are filled out by each camper.
Marina and fuel dock
- Overnight slips are open but will be assigned with buffer space between boats.
- Guests are responsible for placing their own garbage & recyclables in the appropriate containment systems.
- Washroom, showers & laundry facilities will be open to one guest or family at a time.
- Washrooms and outdoor cleaning station will be regularly cleaned and will be well stocked with liquid soap.
- Fuel dock employees will wear masks and gloves and will maintain social distancing where possible.
Rentals
Mountain bike rentals are suspended until further notice. Kayak rentals are available with the following safety precautions:
- All equipment will be sanitized and rotated after every use and there is a hand sanitizer station at the rental shop.
- At least one member of the kayak group must be experienced with the operation of the kayak and the use of the equiment.
- Our staff will not assist the group with the adjustment of foot pedals, the placment of safety equipment or the launching of the kayak.
- The kayak group will not enter the rental shop. All equipment will be placed in a pickup zone where the guests will select what they need.
- The guest will be assigned a kayak from a specific rack position and afterwards, return the kayak to the same rack position.
- The returning guest will deposit the equipment in a designated dropoff zone where it will be sanitized and rotated into the supply.
With the current Covid-19 situation, there may be frequent updates to our procedures as based on Worksafe BC recommendations.
