Diving
The natural and artificial reefs just outside of Silva Bay and surrounding Gabriola Island offers some of the best marine life diving on British Columbia’s coast. Breakwater Island and Rogers Reef include over 200 marine species including resident Wolf Eels and Octopus. Gabriola Pass and Dodd Narrows are two of the more popular drift dive locations.
Come and stay in one of our cottages and then embark on a guided dive tour with our resident certified diver instructor Wyle Qua of Access Diving. Access Diving’s dive boat is also wheelchair accessible. It’s crew is Transport Canada Qualified and trained to assist divers with Disabilities.
Also based in Silva Bay, Island Dive Charters caters to small groups of two to six divers aboard their 37 foot Uniflite Sedan boat with a large aft deck and heated cabin with galley and head. Besides Silva bay on Gabriola, Island Dive Charters will also pick up at the docks in downtown Nanaimo.
If you want to leave your driving in Vancouver, visit Sea Dragon Charters where your
vacation will start with a scenic boat trip across the Strait to our docks in Silva
Bay. You will then enjoy relaxing in one of our cottages and a guided tour of some
world-
